Balance Testing

Here’s to a life in balance

Discover your fatty acid profile and find out if you need to balance and restore your essential Omega-6:3 balance.

Do you suffer with any of the following?
Brain Fog
headaches
Constant inflammation
Joint pain
fatigue
Low mood
Hot flushes
Night sweats

If 'YES' you may want to get this test so we can see your ratio and check your cell health

You could be taking all the 'right' supplements, but if your cells aren't functioning properly you may not be absorbing as much of your supplements as you think.

The Omega ratio in the western diet

For optimally healthy cell membranes, we should have a 3:1 balance between Omega-6 and Omega-3. This ratio protects our cells from oxidative stress, which occurs when antioxidant levels get too low and our body becomes overwhelmed, unable to function properly, which can lead to cell damage.
The good news: It’s possible to fix the imbalance of antioxidants and free radicals in the body.

How to balance Omega-3 and 6
Harmonizing the Omega-6:3 ratio is a two-pronged approach. The first and most important step is to make sure your diet includes healthy sources of Omega-3. If you need to bridge the nutritional gap with supplements, use BalanceOil+ – our all-natural signature blend of pure fish oil, extra virgin olive oil with polyphenols, and vitamin D3.
It is scientifically proven to gently readjust the Omega-6:3 ratio. With 15 EFSA-approved health benefits, from the head1 to the heart2, BalanceOil+ transforms cells from the inside out*.
In parallel with the 120-day BalanceOil+ regime, making dietary changes will help to re-balance your body. Reduce processed, packaged foods of convenience and prioritize sources of Omega-3. For example, fatty fish, algae, flax seed oil, spinach, Brussels sprouts, blueberries, and walnuts. When grocery shopping, stick to the perimeter of the store where all the wholefoods are. Repeat the BalanceTest in 120 days and see how close to 3:1 you get.

Gut Health

Know your gut, own your health

Get actionable insights into how your diet and lifestyle influence gut function and whole-body balance.

The next generation of gut health testing

Just a drop of blood can reveal key metabolites shaped by your gut microbes and your body – offering insight into how your diet and lifestyle may be influencing your gut and metabolic health.

Unlike stool tests that show which microbes are present, our approach measures their functional output to provide deeper insight into gut-related health.

HbA1c

Stress test your future health

Put your long-term blood sugar levels in the context of your current lifestyle and move towards a future of well-being.

What is the HbA1c test for?

It is a scientific, blood sugar test and overall health assessment to raise self-awareness. The DBS-test measures your long-term blood sugar level in the context of your current lifestyle based on a detailed questionnaire to evaluate the impact your diet and overall behaviour today might have on your future. The Zinzino Blood Sugar Test is an easy self-test for analysing the long-term blood sugar level (HbA1c) found in capillary blood obtained from a fingertip using the Dried Blood Spot (DBS) technique. A DBS is scientifically proven to be as accurate as a venous blood sample when the long term blood sugar status is to be analysed. All it requires is a few drops of blood on a Whatman filter paper and it takes less than a minute to complete.

Why should I take the test?

A long-term blood sugar test is the biggest marker for where your life is heading. It will provide you with your state of health right now, but also where your current lifestyle might take you in the future. We have incorporated recommendations based on public health recommendations. Thus, the test is not just checking your current long term blood sugar levels but also how well your current lifestyle supports your long-term health outcome. Moreover, these tests on one hand check your risk of developing type 2 diabetes, but you can also use them to for example see how different diets or exercise changes affect your long-term blood sugar.

Vitamin D

Shine a light on your health

Monitor your levels of the sunshine nutrient and find out if you need to improve your vital vitamin D intake.

We make sense of your vitamin D status

More than 1 billion people worldwide are estimated to be vitamin D deficient and there’s a lot of controversy regarding how to determine and define the status of vitamin D. A level less than ‘optimal’ has often prompted sensational and fear-inducing responses. It is not our aim or intention to add to such hysteria. Our test will simply give you a better understanding of what your status is and what you can do to improve or maintain it.
